Led Zeppelin II
How To Break A Record.
In 1973, a college friend of mine bought a 12-inch vinyl LP record album, Led Zeppelin II, and he'd lent it to one of his friends who'd used a cheap turntable with a bad stylus and scratched the vinyl record.
I'd gone to my college friend's home to spin some of his records and he'd shown me that scratched record, lifted up his right thigh, smashed that record into two pieces, and thrashed up the album cover in frustration!
He'd advised me don't ever lend any vinyl record to anyone, and I'd thought his action was what was called breaking a record!
